Hey, Cheryl here. I am jamming. Seriously, I stopped playing my guitar for too long and recently decided to start playing again because all work and no fun just sucks. And I have these 2 beautiful guitars just sitting here weeping for lack of exercise and exposure to the world outside their cases.

I did a web search for guitar teachers in Seattle cause that’s where I live and found some, but because I’m an adult and I have a full time job, I was pretty picky. I’ve had some really great guitar teachers in the past, but know that with my schedule it’s hard to commit to a weekly gig, including a class setting. And I travel alot, making my schedule even more challenging.

So, I started looking online for lessons and somehow or other I stumbled across JamPlay.

I’m pretty jaded, ok, and it takes alot to impress me these days, but this site really delivers and since I’m more of an intermediate player I can chose from just about every acoustic playing style there is to learn songs, technique, etc. And there’s that much choice available for electric guitar players, too.

Man, this is a long way from the days when I used to download and print tab from the web in 1994 (if you can remember that…).

I’ve got high quality videos of the teachers along with the music, tab, chords, everything I need to learn. I have found, basically, a 24/7 on demand group of highly qualified teachers who I can access any time of the day or night. Oh yeah, I said that already, 24/7. And I’m only paying $20/month.

I’ve learned Alice’s Restaurant and now I’m learning Dear Prudence, which is a little more challenging for me.

If you’re a rank beginner, JamPlay is there for you. I wish I had this resource when I was first learning way back when, but I’m sure glad I have it now. It’s really absolutely perfect for me.
