Well, anything with the standard chords (A, C, D, E, G) is generally a safe bet. Chords like B and F are more challenging because they aren't just in the first few frets, and F is a bar.

Anyway, one really easy song is Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It's got some simple strumming and only a few chords. There's a solo in it, but you can just skip that.

Another one is Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. The intro is simple and challenging, and yet again, you can skip the solo, but the chords in it are also very simple and will help you IMMENSELY!

It really helps if you SEE and HEAR a song being played too so if you can't quite make out the tabs, run by Youtube and just type in the song name and "guitar cover" and there will probably be plenty!

Other than that, just any song you like that you think you would like to try, give it a shot! The tougher the songs, the more you improve! :D

Good Luck!

(BTW the links to the songs are in the source)

This is a really easy song its called hear you me by Jimmy eat world. The link is for the tab and it doesn't say but i think it sounds alot better with a capo on the 2nd fret. If you get it down fast the second link is the same song but you can try and put those hammer ons the guy does in the video in there. Good Luck

"Time of Your Life"-Green Day

Bar chords should be saved for later on, when you're past basics and can switch chords and strum properly.

jsut play around with the progressions...dont do "classic rock" songs, they all suck

C G D
C G Am F
F C Bb
D A G
G D Em, C G D

just simple progressions

bar chords are tough at first, but you will get the hang of them, take it slow and PRACTICE, dont be afraid if you get blisters, they will turn into callouses soon enough
